Employee community activism is a tradition which goes back to Datatel’s earliest days. Supported through a culture of giving back to those less fortunate or providing service to those who serve others, Datatel employees are involved in philanthropic efforts of their choosing year-round.
Datatel has been recognized by Leadership Fairfax with a Northern Virginia Leadership Award for its commitment to the community. Northern Virginia Family Service through its CARE (Companies as Responsive Employers) Awards program has also spotlighted Datatel for the expansion and enhancement of its employee programs.
Datatel celebrates its annual corporate anniversary by inviting employees and their family members to volunteer at charitable organizations throughout the month of May by, “Reaching out to others, one hand at a time.” This theme is put into practice through employee volunteer efforts with local charities including:
