interested in software development can gain real-world experience at Datatel while working
with the latest software development technologies and methodologies. At Datatel, interns
are first trained in the fundamentals needed to be active contributors on our team. Once
this training is completed, each intern is assigned to a work team with a mentor. They
start right away working on projects that impact Datatels clients.

Programmer Internships

To be considered for this opportunity, you should be a JUNIOR who is pursuing a Computer
Science or MIS degree and have successfully completed several programming classes. Prior
hands-on internship experience in a corporate environment is a plus. Further, you must be
able to work full time from May 19 to August 8, 2008 at our headquarters office in
Fairfax, Virginia.
Technical Writer/Documentation
Internships

To be considered for this opportunity, you should be a JUNIOR who is
pursuing a Technical Communication, Professional Writing, or a related
field. You are comfortable working with computers (word processing,
graphics, and desktop publishing software) and have successfully
completed several technical writing classes and at least one computer
programming class (any programming language). This internship is not a
fit for a student who mainly enjoys creative writing (such as poetry or
fiction), journalism, or types of technical writing other than software
documentation (such as proposal writing or medical/scientific writing).
Further, you must be able to work full time from May 19 to August 8,
2008 at our headquarters office in Fairfax, Virginia.
Quality Assurance Internships

To be considered for this opportunity, a candidate should be a JUNIOR
who is pursuing a Computer Science, Information Technology degree or a
Business degree with a focus in technology. Exposure in either
accounting, human resources or finance is a plus. This person should be
detail-oriented, analytical and thorough with good written and
communication skills. Must be fluent in all aspects of MS Office and
have experience with web/intranet creation tools.
As a QA intern, you will be assigned to
learn how to define, set-up and run test cases. Work with senior team
members who will guide you on how to conduct and execute test scenarios
and troubleshoot problems in a complex environment. The ideal candidate
will also participate in a variety of development meetings.
Prior hands-on or internship experience
in a corporate environment and development experience is a plus.
Students must be able to work full time from May 19 to August 8, 2008 at
our headquarters office in Fairfax, Virginia.
