Datatel's Quality Milestones
We are proud of Datatel’s achievements along the continuous quality improvement journey. In 1997, Datatel was the recipient of the premiere quality award for service companies in the Commonwealth of Virginia – the U.S. Senate Productivity and Quality Award (SPQA) Medallion of Excellence.
Additional quality milestones over the years:
2001 to Present
- Revised the Datatel core values and basic
- Created a director position focused on corporate continuous improvement
- Datatel submitted its first Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award application
- Received the National Capital Business Ethics Award from The National Capital Chapter of the Society of Financial Service Professionals
- Selected by Washingtonian Magazine as one of the "Top 50 Places to Work" in the Washington, DC metro area
- Established corporate committee to further strengthen internal communications for all Datatel employees
1998 to 2000
- Datatel joined the Continuous Quality Improvement Network (CQIN) and hosted its first Baldrige-based Board of Examiners Training
- Ninety-eight percent of Datatel employees completed the Employee Survey – providing valuable feedback used to drive improvements
- Established key employee satisfaction metrics
- Expanded survey and advisory committee channels for client feedback
1995 to 1997
- Awarded the SPQA Medallion of Excellence
- Twice awarded the SPQA Plaque for Outstanding Achievement
- Established a formal CI structure within Datatel
1992 to 1994
- Awarded the SPQA Plaque for Outstanding Achievement
- Awarded the Bronze Award in the IBM Mark of Quality review process
- Reviewed and adapted the IBM Process Management Program
- All Datatel employees received formal CI training
- Created the Datatel Basics program, a list of 20 corporate guidelines for both team and individual efforts
