Scholarship Applicants
Notice:
The online application for the 2008-2009 academic year is now CLOSED. No further application materials or recommendation letters will be accepted. The nomination process will occur February 1 - 15, 2008, and final scholarship decisions will be made in May.
Who can apply?
Any outstanding student who is currently attending an eligible Datatel client site is encouraged to apply for at least one of the four different scholarship opportunities through the Datatel Scholars Foundation. Both full- and part-time students (at least six credit hours/term) are welcome to apply. Most scholarship opportunities are open to undergraduates AND graduates, in any curriculum of study. Please only apply if you are planning to attend an eligible college or university during the academic year specified.
What is an eligible Datatel client institution?
Eligible client institutions are colleges and universities that use and maintain Datatel's software and service solutions. Find out if your school is a Datatel client.
What if the school I attend is not listed?
Unfortunately, if your school is not listed you are not eligible to participate in this scholarship program. If a school is not a Datatel client it means that they do not use and maintain a Datatel software and service maintenance agreement. Purchasing Datatel software is typically a decision that is made by executive administrators on your campus. Unfortunately, we are unable to say if an when a school may decide to use Datatel products and services. The online list is updated real-time.
If I am eligible, how do I apply?
To enter the awards competition, eligible students must complete and submit an on-line application by the deadline. On-line applications are accessible between September 1st - January 31st. All applications and letters of recommendation must be electronically submitted by 5:00pm EST on January 31st.
Please review the Official Rules and the Application Instructions prior to starting the application process.
Can I apply for more than one scholarship?
Applicants are encouraged to apply for multiple scholarships so long as they meet the eligibilty requirements stated for each of the awards they are interested in. There are check off boxes on the application to indicate which scholarship(s) you are interested in.
What does the application lifecycle look like?

- Scholarship administrators at each participating client site review applications and nominate outstanding students. (February 1-15)
- Nominated students have their applications forwarded to the Datatel Scholars Foundation for final evaluation and awards selection. (March - May)
