DataOrchestrator™ ODS is the cornerstone of Datatel’s reporting strategy. It provides the reporting platform that standardizes data onto a separate reporting server, flattens complex data structures, and provides data models with user friendly field names that will be used extensively as the Colleague product expands in functionality.

Data is now accessible in an SQL- or Oracle-friendly environment, providing your institution with the ability to use industry standard reporting tools. DataOrchestrator ODS is the foundation for both the Datatel Reporting and Operating Analytics solution, and the Performance Analytics solution. Using Datatel’s ODS Connectors, data is automatically made available to the reporting solutions and is organized to provide answers to the questions that are first and foremost in the minds of your management team.

Identifying Your Data Assets with Pre-Defined Data Models

Making data easier to access and understand for reporting is essential to meet the continuing accountability demands placed on higher education. DataOrchestrator ODS delivers two critical assets toward simplifying and decentralizing reporting. The first is predefined data models, or schema, designed to answer common business questions across all areas of Colleague. The second is a tool to copy Colleague data from the transaction server to a separate target reporting database. Data is now easier to access and analyze.
